About

Hans Põldoja works as a head of studies in the School of Digital Technologies at the Tallinn University. He is also teaching a number of courses in the Educational Technology and Human-Computer Interaction master’s programmes in Tallinn University. His research belongs to the field of technology enhanced learning and human-computer interaction. More specific areas of interest and expertise include open education, learning environments, digital learning resources and interaction design.

Hans has more than 15 years of experience in designing learning environments and learning resource authoring tools. He has been responsible for the interaction design for several internationally recognized projects (LeMill, EduFeedr) and a number of learning environments that are widely used in Estonia.

In 2016 he defended his doctoral dissertation “The Structure and Components for the Open Education Ecosystem: Constructive Design Research of Online Learning Tools” in the Media Lab at the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture.
